Lockdown testemonials
“The video consultation was professional and helpful. Jo was really thorough in analysing and providing exercises for my knee injury. This is certainly a good form of consultation in the absence of face to face appointments”.

"I badly injured my right knee (ruptured ACL and sprained MCL) whilst skiing, and desperately needed to pursue physio rehabilitation at the start of the Covid-19 Lockdown. Fortunately, I found Jo Pereira, who organised regular physio consultations with me via video link. Jo devised a programme of exercises for me (sent via email), and regularly monitored my progress, adapting my exercises accordingly, despite the fact we were unable to meet in person. I am absolutely delighted with the massive improvement in my knee, and my general mobility, and now feel confident I will be able to ski again without resorting to surgery. Having had a very positive experience using video consultations, I would definitely recommend them in the current circumstances".

I have used the services of Functional Physio a number of times over the last three years for degenerative back pain issues and a knee injury. Jo and Catherine have both provided excellent support, professionally diagnosing the root cause / issue and providing the treatment needed to help me get mobile again in the shortest possible time. Their pro-activity in helping me get active and address underlying posture related issues to avoid re-occurrence of symptoms is refreshing and instils a positive mind set. As part of the pro-active avoidance approach, I have been attending pilates classes run by Jo for several years and found the benefits in flexibility and muscular control have contributed to a reduction in back related issues.

After a nasty motorbike accident where I snapped both of my legs and smashed my ankle to pieces, I spent several months in bed unable to walk, which further damaged the muscles and ligaments in my legs.
I hobbled into Jo's care on crutches, wondering if I would ever walk properly again...
Jo immediately diagnosed the issues and devised a course of easy to follow exercises and stretches to counteract the problems I had.
I'm now able to walk long distances again and am very grateful for the huge improvement Jo has made to my quality of life; she is obviously an expert physiotherapist with a wealth of experience and a very genial manner.
I would definitely recommend a visit to Functional Physio to get a high quality assessment and to devise a plan to rectify whatever problem you have it could be the wisest investment decision you make this year!
